Belize Tours for Birding, Flora and Fauna Viewing

  • Explore Boden Creek Reserve, a haven for wildlife, on your own or with our excellent guides.
  • We have coastal Belize tours to Payne’s Creek National Park, Ycacos Lagoon, Wild Cane Cay, Seven Hills and Middle River where you’ll see a wide range marine life and diverse wetland habitats.
  • Our Spotlight River Tour will let you catch a glimpse of the jungle’s busy nocturnal wildlife. You’ll go out in the evening in an electric pontoon boat with our guides who will shine a spotlight on the creatures of the night.
  • At Ballam Na Lodge, visit our 2.1 acre Belize jaguar habitat, home to two male jaguars, Bosch and Xupi, brothers who were born in captivity.
  • Located at Jungle Camp Lodge, our tree canopy platform is suspended 110' above the jungle floor in a giant ceiba tree. You’ll literally have a bird’s eye view of the forest canopy and its rarely seen birds, insects and plant species.
  • The Wildlife Care Center of Belize, located in Boden Creek Ecological Reserve, operates a Howler and Spider Monkey rescue, rehabilitation, release and research program.

Belize Adventure Tours for Hikers, Cavers, Kayakers and Boaters

  • Explore Boden Creek Reserve’s miles of nature trails, easily accessible to everyone on foot, or with our mountain bikes and electric safari carts, on your own or with our legendary local Maya bush-guides.
  • Tour Belize caves – we will take you to Blue Creek Cave, Tiger Cave and Laguna Cave, where you’ll see stalagmite and stalactite formations, and ancient pottery.
  • River Canoeing and Kayaking – our full day tours explore the creek and lagoon system of Indian and Blue Creeks. From Jungle Camp there are 3 hour canoe or kayak expeditions deep into the jungle and down Golden Stream.
  • Sea kayaking - We offer sea kayaking excursions to the Snake Cays, Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve and to the Belize Barrier Reef.
  • Electric Pontoon Boat Safari - Our expert guides take you for a real Belize adventure tour in an electric pontoon boat out on the river where you’ll see Howler monkeys, tapirs, wild pigs and a colorful array of birds along the riverbank.
  • Swimming opportunities abound and are often built into many of our tours. Various locations include Blue Creek Cave’s swimming hole and Rio Blanco Falls with its deep pool, as well as your own private beach on Moho Cay Lodge or as part of a snorkeling excursion to the Snake Cays or the marine reserves.
  • Snorkeling coastal Belize tours – Snorkel around the Belize Barrier Reef in the Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve or take a full day excursions out to the Snake Cays which lie on an isolated coral ridge.

Cultural Belize Tours for History Buffs and People Lovers

  • Take a Belize tour of the ancient Maya ruins with one of Belize Lodge’s expert guides, direct descendents of the amazing civilization that flourished in this area. Fascinating sights include ancient carvings, temples, lodgings, and even a ball court!
  • Just steps away from Indian Creek Lodge are the Mayan ruins of Nim Li Punit (Big Hat) a small but significant site that inherited its name from a carving on the longest of the site’s twenty-six stele, depicting a figure wearing a large headdress. This site served as the main religious and ceremonial center for the region.
  • Nearby Lubanntun (Place of Fallen Stones), is the largest Maya site in southern Belize and was considered the main seat of power in the region. It was a center for trade and commerce and in ancient times produced large quantities of Cacao (chocolate).
  • Modern Belize Mayan Tours - Maya culture lives on in southern Belize. Their villages, which number over 30, are spread along the rivers, mountains and forests of the area, including Indian Creek village near to Belize Lodge.
