After you have visited BLE’s inland destinations and spent a few days at our Moho Cay Lodge, complete your “Ultimate Belize Vacation” with this truly one of a kind experience. With The Moorings, you can enjoy a unique sailing journey with your own captain, top notch crew and gourmet chef to make your luxurious adventure a time to remember.

DAY 1: Moho Cay Lodge to Hunting Cay (L, D)
In the morning start the next leg of your incredible expeditions. From Moho Cay Lodge board Mooring’s fully crewed and staffed 49’ luxury catamaran where you will spend the next four and a half days sailing Belize‘s southern reef. From the Port Honduras Marine Reserve head towards the Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve the southern most tip of Belize’s great barrier reef. First night anchor, Hunting Cay.

DAY 2: Hunting Cay to Tom Owen‘s Cay (B, L, D)
The brilliant turquoise waters inside one of the largest continuous barrier reefs create a pristine, protected cruising ground. The sailing is a breeze and there are hundreds of sandy cays for anchoring all within the reef. The distance between anchorages is short and the shallow draft of the all-catamaran fleet assures easy navigation. Second night anchor, Tom Owen’s Cay.

Day 3: Tom Owen‘s Cay to Ranguana Cay (B, L, D)
The reef has an absolute abundance of sea life, schools of tropical fish and coral gardens thrive here and so will you. Everywhere you go, snorkeling is excellent, lobster and snapper abound. Around sheltered cays you can explore the shallow areas in a sea kayak or dinghy. Third night anchor, Ranguana Cay.

Day 4: Ranguana Cay to Laughing Bird Cay (B, L, D)
In the morning head to Little Water Cay and Queen Cay Pass where it is possible to see the giant whale sharks. Make for Laughing Bird Cay for our last night anchorage on the reef.

Day 5: Laughing Bird Cay to Placencia/ Belize City/ Flight Home (B)
Set sail for Placencia and catch the mid day Tropic Air flight back to Belize City International Airport for the return flight home.
